Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has found himself at the center of an extraordinary espionage controversy, following reports by FT and others that a Chinese businesswoman with whom he allegedly developed a close personal relationship ( wink, wink ) was recruited by Chinese intelligence.
The allegations, which Nvidia disputes, have already attracted congressional scrutiny, and some on social media are even calling for Huang’s resignation. I have no idea whether this could ultimately amount to anything resembling a black swan event for Nvidia, but it’s definitely a reminder that the unexpected happens.
I’d guess zero sell side analysts heading into 2027 had “Jensen Huang potentially being compromised by a Chinese spy” anywhere in their analysis for the upcoming year.
