Nearly Half Of Poles Demand PM Tusk's Resignation After Dramatic Takeover Of Constitutional Court Authored by Remix News Staff via Remix News , Nearly half of Poles believe Prime Minister Donald Tusk should step down , according to the first poll released after his dramatic takeover of the Constitutional Tribunal, which involved riot police seizing the building.

Another poll also shows that if elections were held now, his party would lose power and a right-wing coalition could come to power. In a survey for the weekly Wprost , 47.4 percent of respondents said Tusk should no longer serve as prime minister, while 38.3 percent wanted him to remain in office and 14.3 percent expressed no opinion.

The findings come amid a sharp dispute over the Constitutional Tribunal, in which judges elected by the current parliamentary majority moved to suspend the court's president and vice president, lowered the required quorum for decisions, and assumed control of its operations.
