Calley Means, a former senior White House advisor, recently appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience and shared his insights about the inner workings of the Trump administration. Means claimed that Trump's former Chief-of-Staff, Susie Wiles, had significant influence over policy decisions and often prioritized the interests of industries that contributed to the administration's campaigns.

He alleged that Wiles killed a proposed federal review of sugar consumption among American children, citing the need for sugar industry money for the midterms. Means also discussed the role of other advisors, including Tony Fabrizio, Trump's chief pollster, who he said took money from various industries, including pharmaceutical and pesticide companies.

He claimed that Fabrizio's polling often determined which policies to pursue, and that he advised against pushing for healthier school meals because it was not a key part of the administration's strategy. Means expressed his concern that a concentrated group of people in the Trump administration were working against the interests of the voters who supported Trump.

Means' comments came before the announcement that Stephen Miller would replace Susie Wiles as chief of staff, with Wiles moving to the Trump political operation. Means had previously worked with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and connected him with Donald Trump in 2024.

He spent over two hours on the Joe Rogan Experience discussing the people he believes stood between Trump's voters and the policies they supported.
