U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has announced additional arrests of foreign nationals accused of illegally voting in American elections, expanding President Donald Trump's nationwide crackdown on voter fraud ahead of Tuesday's midterm elections.
The latest cases involve noncitizens accused of casting ballots in federal, state and local elections, including some legal permanent residents and others living in the country illegally, according to ICE.
Among those identified is Jesus Lopez, a Mexican national and green card holder accused of illegally voting in 15 elections between 2000 and 2024, including state, primary and municipal contests, Breitbart News reported Monday.
ICE also identified Sirena Prosper, a Haitian national accused of voting illegally in the 2024 presidential election despite being subject to a final deportation order.
Prosper previously was convicted twice of burglary, along with larceny and resisting an officer, according to federal immigration authorities.
"The pervasive nature of illegal alien election fraud should concern every American," ICE Public Affairs Assistant Director Micah Bock said in a statement.
