Video Message “Pray with the Pope” for the month of November

The Holy See Press Office has released a video message from the Pope as part of the "Pray with the Pope" initiative, which is a project of the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network. The message is for the month of November and focuses on the theme of the proper use of wealth.

In the message, the Pope reflects on the origin of all wealth, stating that it comes from God and is a shared gift. He notes that the pursuit and accumulation of wealth can often lead to selfishness and hardness of heart, causing individuals to forget about the most vulnerable members of society.

The Pope asks for forgiveness for the times when people prioritize storing up wealth rather than sharing it, and for using goods as a means of power rather than as a way to serve others. He emphasizes that true wealth is not found in what one keeps, but in what one gives with love, and that a heart detached from possessions can transform the world by promoting justice, tearing down walls of indifference, and sowing hope among the poor.

The Pope concludes the message by asking God to teach people to use their resources, including money, time, and talents, as instruments of fraternity, and to make decisions that spring from a free heart, recognizing that every good is meant for all.

He prays that people's lives may be a sign of God's Kingdom of justice and peace.
