Illegal immigrant charged with impersonating CIA official using scam agency

An illegal immigrant, Lakotah Salvini, was arrested in September and charged with impersonating a CIA official in the United States. According to newly unsealed court records, Salvini and his co-defendant, Richard Myers, led a fraudulent "intelligence" organization called Castle International, advertising their fake services to a sheriff's deputy and attempting to approach a Navy base in Georgia.

The pair may have also recruited an unnamed Pentagon employee, as claimed by the Department of Justice. Salvini and Myers are charged with impersonating a U. S. Salvini was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Dallas, Texas, during a targeted enforcement operation, and received a final removal order on September 14.

A federal judge in Texas ordered Salvini held without bond, citing his prior criminal history, ties outside the United States, and lack of legal status in the country. The indictment also claims that Myers sought personal identifying information from an individual recruited to participate in Castle International.

Salvini's case was transferred to Georgia, where he and Myers are facing charges. A Georgia federal judge gave Myers supervised pretrial release, requiring him to submit to mental health treatment.
