Hanson explained that the book explores Donald Trump's presidency and his efforts to address the progressive revolution. According to Hanson, Trump aimed to tackle the causes of the progressive movement's power, rather than just its symptoms. Hanson stated that Trump sought to revolutionize immigration by reducing illegal immigration and cutting back on immigration from countries whose values and traditions are antithetical to those of the United States.

He claimed that for the first time in about 50 years, the number of immigrants did not exceed the number of Americans being born. Hanson also discussed Trump's energy policies, which included increasing the production of natural gas and oil, and promoting nuclear power and hydroelectric energy.

Hanson noted that Trump also focused on revitalizing the interior of the United States, which he believed had been hollowed out by globalization. He claimed that Trump encouraged foreign investment in the US by highlighting the country's superior Constitution, legal system, and cheap energy.

Hanson stated that this approach had already led to between $10 and $15 trillion in foreign investment. He also mentioned that Trump reduced the number of federal employees by 270,000 and addressed the issue of DEI programs in the military. The video was recorded before the midterm elections and is part of Hanson's series of videos for The Daily Signal.
