Democrats put patriotism last. That’s a problem for America

A recent Gallup survey on American values has found that only 6% of Democrats consider patriotism to be important for the country. This finding highlights a significant conflict of visions in modern politics, with Democrats and Republicans holding differing views on the importance of various values.

The survey, which included a list of 12 values, found that Democrats ranked patriotism as the lowest value, while Republicans ranked it as the highest value needed for the country. In contrast, Democrats ranked "equality" as the highest value, while Republicans placed it near the bottom of the list.

This lack of consensus underscores the deep divisions in American politics, with different groups prioritizing different values. The findings of the survey suggest that the conflict of visions between Democrats and Republicans is not just about policy, but also about the underlying values that shape their beliefs and priorities.

The significant difference in the importance placed on patriotism by Democrats and Republicans is a notable example of this divide.
