3 lessons America must learn from Europe’s unrest

Recent unrest in Europe, including demonstrations in France and Italy, has raised concerns about the state of Western civilization. The protests, which have drawn hundreds of thousands into the streets, have resulted in damage to buildings, fires, and injuries to both protesters and police.

These events have different immediate causes, but they may be connected to a larger issue of Western civilization losing sight of its origins and the convictions that made it powerful and prosperous. Growing cultural tensions, immigration controversies, and public distrust are also contributing to the unrest.

Conservative commentator Dennis Prager has warned that the erosion of Western values, multiculturalism, and Islamist extremism could create similar problems in America. He believes that when people are taught to despise their nation's history, they lose the collective memory essential to preserving it, making it unlikely that future generations will defend the nation's principles.

This concern extends beyond immigration and highlights the importance of understanding and preserving a nation's history and achievements.
