Democrats Seethe After Trump Appoints Border Hawk Stephen Miller New White House Chief of Staff

If there’s one thing President Trump knows, it’s how to piss off the Democrats.
No sooner had Dems taken a victory lap on recent midterm wins than Trump replaced his most senior advisor Susie Wiles with former Assistant Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, the admin’s staunchest anti-immigration official, who will likely accelerate the president’s border enforcement agenda.
Miller’s promotion sent shockwaves throughout the Democrat establishment, with many recognizing that recent campaign promises to “abolish ICE” will face an uphill battle under the new chief of staff.
“Donald Trump learned nothing from his historic defeat,” seethed Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. “Stephen Miller is the architect of the most barbaric, inhumane policies of this administration. Trump couldn’t have made a worse choice. Our Democratic majorities will fight him every step of the way.”

Similarly, House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), who’s poised to be House Speaker, wrote, “Stephen Miller is a dangerous xenophobe and reckless extremist who has American blood on his hands. His presence in government should be eradicated like a malignant tumor. Fire him today.”
