No sooner had Democrats swept American elections than a giant migrant caravan from Honduras began making its way toward the United States.
Footage out of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, shows hundreds of migrants marching on foot to the US immediately following the American electorate’s repudiation of the Trump agenda, apparently anticipating immigration reform.
“And just like that, dozens of Hondurans began to leave Tuesday, November 3, in a new migrant caravan from San Pedro Sula, in the north of the country, with the hope of reaching the United States,” an X user captioned the footage the day after Republicans suffered major electoral defeats, losing both chambers of Congress.

According to reports this is the third caravan to depart from Honduras this year since September, with the Latin Times suggesting the caravan’s timing was intended to coincide with Election Day.
“The timing was intentional,” Latin Times reported Wednesday. “Throughout the group, participants expressed a shared belief that a Democratic takeover of Congress could weaken President Donald Trump’s grip on immigration enforcement, either by blocking new restrictive measures or simply by introducing enough political uncertainty to create a window at the border.”
Footage just days ahead of the election showed the large group of Hondurans traversing the streets of southern Mexico as they made their way.
